We wanted to reveal the tone a little bit more. The first [teaser] … people didn’t know if it was meant to be funny, or meant to be dark, but it made an impression. People are getting used to what it is now, they’re aware of the title, and we want to show them it’s an adventure.
I think people’s first response on hearing the title, which is a play on words, is that it’s going to be a comedy. They’ve been disappointed in the past when people have played with the Western genre, and not stuck to what’s bad-ass about it. When they throw that out the window, and play a pastiche of it, they don’t feel like they’re getting what they want. What you want is the grizzled warrior on the parched plains, and you want to see this iconic figure, who almost magical emerges from mirage of the horizon.

First Captain America trailer unveils Red Skull
Captain America just showed us what it’s got – and boy is it packing. The first footage from Marvel’s comic adaptation was aired last night during America’s big Superbowl spree, and has stoked our enthusiasm for the First Avenger.
Managing to set up the film’s basic plot in a breezy, crammed 30 seconds, it shows Chris Evans transform from weedy wannabe into shield-bearing superhero. Not only that, but we get our first blink-and-you’ll-miss-him glimpse at Hugo Weaving in full Red Skull regalia.
I love this teaser! Yes, it looks a tad campy and yes it looks fun, BUT, this is only a 33 second tease of a movie that is sure going to be a hit! Mark my words, this WILL BE A HIT!

Here are the UPDATED X-Men: First Class images with our first look at the characters that will be making up the origins story.
Here’s the official synopsis for X-Men: First Class:
X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, following the classic Marvel mythology, charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
